Our Pre -School
We are a small, friendly village pre-school where children aged between two and four years are encouraged to develop, thrive and learn in a nurturing, supportive and fun environment.
Situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Ogbourne St George, just 4 miles from Marlborough and 8 miles from Swindon, we welcome families all the surrounding towns and villages including Chiseldon, Marlborough, Aldbourne, Badbury Park and Swindon.
Through child initiated and adult led play we encourage children to make choices, get involved and enjoy their early learning.
Our main playroom hosts many fun and creative activities, and we have a lovely cosy corner set up for enjoying quiet time and stories.
We have a newly refurbished outdoor area where the children can develop physical skills on the ride on toys and climbing equipment, explore sand and water, get messy and explore nature. Free flow between indoors and outdoors is available throughout the sessions in all weathers.
We are fortunate to be just one minute walk from Ogbourne St.George Primary School. We maintain a close relationship with many of the local Primary Schools to ensure that children leave our setting prepared for and ready to start school with confidence.
Pre-school is fun-packed and busy. From singing songs and messy play to learning phonics and new games; there's so much for children to do, learn and take in. Our staff at Little Dragons are continuously observing each child to allow them to create child-initiated opportunities and adult directed activities. To enhance these observations and to help our staff and parents record, track and celebrate your child's progress in early years, we use an online learning journal, 'My Learning Book'.
My Learning Book helps staff to capture children's experiences as well as monitor development and learning. This unique journal will be shared online with parents, who are able to see the special moments and view their child's progress.
